Reclaim & Renew: A Burnout Recovery Retreat

March 7-9, 2025 – Held at La Foret Conference & Retreat Center

“Reclaim & Renew” provided a sanctuary for healing and self-care through a combination of somatic practices, intentional play, and supportive community engagement. This retreat offered a comprehensive approach to addressing burnout, focusing on physical, emotional, and relational recovery.

Highlighted offerings from this retreat:

  • Somatic Healing Practices: a range of body-centered therapies including mindful movement, restorative yoga, and breathwork. These practices were aimed at helping attendees reconnect with their bodies, releasing accumulated stress, and cultivating a deeper sense of balance and vitality.
  • Intentional Play: play-based activities designed to invigorate and inspire. LIGHT offered guided exercises in creative expression, playful movement, and interactive games that emphasized relaxation and fun, offering a refreshing break from daily stresses.
  • Community Sharing and Support: facilitated group discussions and support circles where attendees could share experiences, challenges, and strategies with peers who understand the unique pressures of their professions. Individuals benefitted from collective wisdom and support in a safe, empathetic environment.
  • Personal Renewal Workshops: workshops focused on practical strategies for preventing burnout and fostering resilience. Topics included self-compassion, setting boundaries, and finding purpose and meaning in professional work.
