LIGHT Movement exists to remind those experiencing grief that they are not alone.

Grief encompasses:

The death of a loved one, human or pet
The experience of infertility or pregnancy loss
The loss of a relationship, separation, or divorce
The loss of employment or housing or financial status change
The loss of our health or independence
The loss of our feeling peace due to trauma, depression, or anxiety
The loss of our sense of safety due to terrorism, war, and crime
The loss of sense of self

No one is immune from grief. Our goal is to empower those in grief by providing resources and support, while moving through grief together with light and love.

Helping people in their journeys of grief & loss

LIGHT Movement (Love in Grief, Held Together) was started by a group of volunteers in the fall of 2023, to let those grieving know that they are not alone.

LIGHT Movement is honored to be the only recipient of the 2025 Character.org Promising Practice award in Colorado.

LIGHT is completely volunteer-run. You can volunteer to teach programming, participate in outreach, help with marketing and design, or assist with finance and operational support.
